Hitchhiker or normal on coral?

Hey guys, dipping this new Monti and wondering if this is something we need to cut off, or is this normal? Looks like a weird worm looking thing?

Not sure what it is. Maybe a tube worm. I would leave it alone.

vermetid snail. Do whatever you have to do to remove the entire snail guts and all.

Were it me, I would remove the coral from the plug and make double sure all are removed.

Some folks don't mind them, but they produce a long mucus net to capture particulate. That mucus irritates most zoas and SPS for sure. LPS may tolerate them a little better but maybe not. If you tend to run a lot of nutrient through your system, they can multiply like mad.

+1 vermetid. Kill it by breaking off the tube and gluing over it. Get some bumblebee snails for good measure too.
