Hitchhiker snail

Hi all, long time lurker first time poster, finally got my 75 gallon mixed reef set up and going, put my first frags in today after dipping, and this little snail popped out. Is it a small Cerith, something else, and should I put him in or not?

Dove snail maybe.

could also be whelk snail. (that isn't desirable)

If it has tatooed flesh color its a whelk if not then its likely a dove snsil.

Thanks, I think either a dove or mini cerith. Chucked him in and he disappeared in the sand!

Yeah whelks dont dig down in sand or rarely digs down in sand so its probably not a whelk then, lucky you.
