I know there are white ones asterina but this one is like dark looking I wonder if he is reef safe I had a bunch of white ones in my old tank and I liked them even tho there was 60 of them lol but never a dark color one like this any input is he mad ?

Remove- Nuisance star. They will go after zoa and multiply faster than mice ending up in sump, overflows, powerheads

There are over 100 types of asterina and their general color depends on the species but can be white, yellow, red, and grey.
 
Some are safe while others may not…some say dark ones eat zoas while there are some say white ones eat zoas…basically it comes down to you if you want them or not, but be aware if there is one in the tank there are many more
 
Really ?! They eat zoas!!??!
I had two eat an entire colony of Bam Bam zoa and there are Many on here who have expressed similar experience plus people I know locally
