well i have no coral yet lol i believe there is only the one. caught a ride with the live rock i got the other day. but i have notcied some of the coraline that came on the rock turning white

The coralline turning white has nothing to do with the asterina. That's just a reaction to a change in water parameters from where it came from to where it is now, likely a higher salinity (from my own personal experience).
