Hitchhiker???!

Hello,
I recently just saw this little bug thing running around my live rock. He is light/ a bit of dark brown and looks like a skinny cockroach. Please let me know if this is harmful. I do not know if there is more. This is the best picture I could get

So i was just reading about bristleoworms. This thing was so small i couldnt completely tell what it was. I really hope its a pod but is there any chance this might be a bristleworm??

Even if it is a bristleworm you have nothing to worry about. They are good detritivores

Unfortunately hitchhikers can be both good and not so good.
Bristleworms aren’t the worst things, so if you see one don’t panic. lol

Update- I think it was a bristleworm which has now tripled in size because I saw one pop out from under my rocks during feeding. I have some pictures for you guys and I hope this isn’t the bad variety. I could also have pods but who knows. I also have some red strings popping up around one rock which I do not know what they are. All help is appreciated

That bristle worm does not look like a dangerous one. Red strings sounds like Cyano. Most likely, the thing in the first photo was an amphipod and not the bristle worm you are seeing now.

Thank you for the reply. Alright well then maybe I do have both but good thing they’ve all been good hitchhikers. The red strings look hard not slimy though I’ll try to get better pictures

If you have one pod you will have many !
Same goes for bristle worms .
Their population depends on excess foods .
as long as they have food . They will reproduce and grow

Update- I found another hitchhiker but I have no idea what it is. It resides in a spare shell I bought for my hermits. It has long tentacles I think that’s are light brown and have dark brown spots. It moves its tentacles around and drags rocks into the shell. Any ideas?

This last pic is a bristleworm. The pics initially in the thread looks like an amphipod... which is a good thing.
