Asterina? Newish 150 gallon tank with 10 trochus snails and 2 clownfish. Noticed 2 of these guys today. I hope it's not Asterina as want to start placing corals and anenomes.

Bottom is asterina, top probably is too but not positive

Astrea stars. Though it's unlikely those are the coral-eating species

Asterina, yeah. They're generally harmless- most reports of them eating corals are either from one specific species, or from them being in a new, barren tank, starving, and trying to eat corals to live. If the tank's barren enough to starve them into going after corals, it may not be ready for corals yet anyway.
