I have a 10 gallon nuvo tank, and I did it. I jumped the gun and I put snails and a few singlepolyp frags in about 3 weeks into my cycle. I made the dumbest mistake in reefing
So. I took everything out. Did a 30% water change and let it be. It’s crystal clear, ammonia is high, nitrate high. So my cycle is going. I bought some live rock in hopes that it would help introduce nitrifying bacteria, but I get home and realize it’s got polyps on it!
What do i do!!!! I havnt put it in my tank yet, And i can see myself putting that in and polyps die and then i have a huge ammonia mess. I tried to scrape a few polyps off and they’re stuck on well.
Kill the polyps? Dry out rock? Just throw the rock out??

put it in.. it really wont hurt.. you got liverock to increase the biodiversity.. and help you cycle the tank.. its a bonus. many polyps can take more abuse than a cycle.
