Just found this guy in a live rock shipment today. I'm guessing it's a mantis shrimp?

He was an ugly brown with pretty green eyes. Not sure he was a peacock.

I didn't think he was gonna make it. But when I looked at the bowl later he had righted himself and was scurrying around. But he has since been flushed. No where to keep him.

Gulfliverock.com beautiful rock! I ordered 10 lbs to reseed my older rock. It came with gorgonian and and another embedded coral. I will get pictures later today.

They are tough to kill

He fell out half dead looking when I was unwrapping the rocks from the paper towels. I placed him in a bowl and he laid on his side with only those belly finger things rapidly going back and forth. But within an hour he had righted himself and was scurrying around the bowl.

There is also a large turkey clam that is open and shuts when he is disturbed. I did overnight the rock if you were curious.

If I ever start a new tank again. This will be the way I start it.
