These have changed a few times from the Aquaticlife Edge to the HM WiFi and now the HM Bluetooth. I have one of the WiFi Edges over my fuge and I really like it. It is water proof so it keeps running when my return pump turns off and the light is covered in 10in of water. I think you will be happy with one.Hi I was wondering if anyone has use the hm electronics edge lights? I have been looking into a lot of lighting options for my 25 gallon reef tank and they keep coming up but I’ve been having trouble finding reviews or post’s about them.
My tank is still 40cm deep and ideally I’d want zoas at the bottom, do you still think one is good or should I just get two And maybe dial them back a bit? These have changed a few times from the Aquaticlife Edge to the HM WiFi and now the HM Bluetooth. The main down fall of these lights is that they aren't really powerful. Most tanks will need 2-3 to reach the desired goals. For example. I just set up a 75 gallon tank and thought about going with the HME Edge but Realized I would need 3 to be equivalent to the 6 bulb t5 I had in the garage. In your case with such a small tank 1 should be enough but in most tank sizes these are just a bit under powered.

oh okay, and does yours have any type of disco ball effect?42 watts of LED on a 25 gallon tank is fine this is almost 2 watts per gallon which is actually pretty high but for example in my case with the 75 it would only be 72 watts for the 75 gallon tank which is less than 1 watt of LED per gallon.
Since I use it over my refugium the algae that is 2-3in from the light does have a bit of a disco effect but if you are even 6in down I don't notice it. In a display where the coral aren't right at the surface I don't think it would be a big problem.oh okay, and does yours have any type of disco ball effect?
