All of a sudden my chalices aren't looking as bright as usual.

Lights haven't changed, parameters are consistent at ESV levels, .02 phosphate and 1 nitrate.

Any chalice experts out there know what to do!

I think they look really good. Maybe try to target feed once a week.

Hmmmm they don't look good to me! I think it's because I can't capture a picture without getting too much blue. It's super pale

If it's pale I would target feed. Do you dose amino acids? I like to dose those 2 time a week to unless I have algae then I back off. But it just sounds like water is to low on nutrients.

Yeah I dose acropower 3 times a week as well. I also feed reef chili every other day

Well I am all out of ideas. Anything change recently? Lighting? Alkalinity? Other than that hopefully someone else chimes in.

How old are your lights? If you recently changed bulbs that could be your problem.

It may be they are too low on nutrients? Acropower may not be enough. Try feeding a few times a week and letting your nitrates raise a bit between 5-10 is a safe level.

Agreed..

Can you post a better pic? Is the mummy eye receding at the edge (near the top)?

I find the edges of my chalices recede when my ALK gets too low.

I actually prefer to run a higher nutrient system, than most that is. I keep my nitrates at 3 and po4 at .03. Most people don't like to do this due to the benefit of extra oxygen but turning your skimmer off until your nitrates rise to your desired level is an idea.

I will raise the nutrients up a bit when I finish getting rid of my sand bed. I think that is what's hindering my success.

you are doing everything just right.. other than unexpected ammonia or nitrite spike, I cant think of anything too
i lost quite a few chalice before, but i missed water change and had an extra low mag level
