Ive had her for three years, she and a bonded male; the only two clowns in my 150. Ive never seen her spat with any of my other fish, including a scopas, starry blenny, potters wrasse, royal gramma, orchid dottyback, a couple of sapphire damsels, a tailspot Blenny and four lyretail anthias. If there were any suspect in fish, perhaps the scopas and its scalpels.
I do have three BTA's, but the clowns have never shown any interest. I have a large galaxia, and a chalice with long sweepers, but again, I've never seen the clown go near them. In fact, the female clown only comes out to eat, and stays mostly in a sheltered corner, nesting. The male is even more of a recluse, and seems to stay in the corner/nest area.
This is the second day that Ive noticed the blemish, although I may have seen something similar on it before, months ago, in a little different location. That seemed to clear up.
I haven't added any fish in nine months or so, and do not QT; only temperature acclimate.
Edit: I have been feeding later and later in the evening, not able to give the tank as much attention recently. There seems to be more frenzied eating as a result it seems.
