Hello guys, first time posting. I’m beginning to just get into the hobby and was wondering if I should get an aquaclear 110 hob filter or 2 70’s for my 29 gal. I can’t do a sump due to space constraints. I will start with FOWLR and eventually have corals. Is the 2 70s too much filtration/flow?

Seachem Tidals are another option. The AquaClear 70 Power Filter is rated for 70 gallons - so it's probably overkill (2 is definitely overkill). I'd probably look at the AquaClear 30 or 50 Power Filters instead.

Seachem has a surface skimmer feature, but an Aquaclear is bigger and more versatile. Both are great filters.

Aquaclear hands down, the versatility can't be beat.
I think I’m gonna do the 1 aquaclear 70 and adjust how I want to set up the media! I just want to make sure I’m able to get enough filtration(which is why I thought the 110 might be good). since I’m unable to run a sump like a lot of other people. But I also don’t want to overdo it

+1 on the ac 70. One should be plenty, and you can always add a second one or a power head later. Flow in a tank doesn’t all have to be via the filter/sump. I’m running a 110 with two mp10’s on a 29g temporary tank (bare bottom, rocks but no sand)…

Planning on getting live sand. And getting a power head as well for flow! Appreciate the advice y’all ! It’s exciting to see it al start to come together a little. I felt lost when I first started looking for info.

Would you guys say this is a good light for my size tank?
NICREW Aquarium LED Reef Light, Dimmable Full Spectrum Marine LED for Saltwater Coral Fish Tanks

You will be good. I have bothe the aqua clear on one tank and the seachem tidal on another tank. I like the surface skimming on the tidal. And pretty much can do everything same as aqua clear BUT the aqua clear is much more silent. Both good
