i got a 75g mix reef tank i wanna do new fliters on my tank i have 2 marineland 350 fliters on it now i just wanna what what would be better HOB fliter or canister i was looking at the FX5 canister

For ease of maintenance, I would go with a HOB. Canister filters require a lot of maintenance. I have one on my 55 and it is a detritus magnet. Do you run a skimmer?

As far as mechanical filtration goes.. A canister filters better imo.. I have a rena on my freshwater set up and it is s detrius magnet, because it's supposed to be. I just take the pads out for a cleaning every two weeks. No big deal

the maintenance aint a big deal to me i dont mind it i just wanna know what would be better for the tank and yes i have a HOB skimmer

I love canister filters. I use one and I think they've probably come a long way as far as ease of maintenance. Mine takes very little time to clean, has lots of room to put in anything you want, works well, and is very reliable.
