OK I have a few questions. (1) how to feed with it? It sucks up a lot of the food I put in the tank and it's quite annoying I feed 2 times a day cuz of it. (2) I have a 50 gallon tank and it can't even keep up with a 350gph return. I have the return turned back about 1\4 turn would love to run it full blast. Any sudgestins for a better overflow besides drill the tank? I don't want to empty it at this time.

i have a cpr overflow....is it possible to shut off your return pump/powerheads when you feed? being that my overflow is on the other end of my tank, i just place everything on "feed-mode" for a few minutes, wait till the water stops moving and feed on the opposite side of the aquarium (the side away from the overflow)....give a try and see what happens

I feed on the side that the over flow is not on and have all my power heads turned off just the frozen food likes to float. Yes I defrost it first in some tank water then put it in after spot feeding my anemone. Many I should go pellet but don't know how my clown will like it.

gotcha....try two things: 1. try to target feed your fish...use a syringe or a turkey baster, defrost the food outside of your tank, inject the food into the syringe/baster and shoot it towards the hungry fish

if thats too much work you can try a feeding ring....ive never used one but have seen it in action....this should control where your food goes come feeding time

the feeding ring will help with the pellets or flake should you decide to switch.

if you go with the syringe method....your fish (hopefully) will become trained and recognize that the syringe means food....i have a kole tang, tomato clown and 3 green chromis....they go nuts when they see that things go into the tank...they even nip at it

Hehehe :D

For question #2:
Does your overflow box have a plastic screw holding the overflow against the glass? It should, and it should be possible to loosen that screw and adjust the overflow box up and down inside the tank to control the flow rate some. If you move it down, there-by letting more water flow through the weirs, you can then turn your return pump up higher. You'll have to play with it to get it right, but I had to do this same thing with my 40 gallon. I was finally able to use my return pump at it's normal operating speed.

a close up picture maybe? That could help us come up with ideas to help you.

My tablet won't let me post pictures to this site for some reason it not letting me select the picture I can email it to u or try get Google to host it.

OK, its hard to tell from the pictures, but it does look to have a box with teeth on the inside of the tank. It should anyway, as that's how I have always seen them. That box should have a plastic screw that you tightened down when you set it up. Loosen that screw and carefully and slowly move that inside box down maybe a 1/4 inch. Then turn your pump up to the level you want it to be running at. Then stand there and watch your sump levels. If the water level doesn't equalize and remain normal then you need to move the inside box of the overflow down another 1/4 inch. Do this until the water level equalizes in the sump and remains normal. Just keep an eye on it for a few hours after that and you should be good to go. It worked for me and was really easy to do.

One of the screws for the box is broken so I have 1 side sitting like 2 in in the water and the other side is sticking out lol will lower it in more by the screw see what happens. Also that's are no teeth on the box

yea ive never seen that model.....looks custom....i mean aside from changing your feeding methods....id see (if possible....could be a long shot) if you could raise a little out of the water....this way its intake could be reduced a little....not sure though...kind of a shot in the dark as ive never seen that model before
