Hob overflow box flow

Took some pics just wondering if this is normal I feel like the flow should be a lot stronger as it says 800gph it’s an eshopps pf800 it is barely dripping out from the bottom of the tube and has no bubble in siphon need some help I just set it up today.

What return pump are you using

Your hob is rated for 800 gph, your return pump dictates the flow going to the sump

It can only come out as fast as it goes in so I'm thinking the return pump is too weak.

So I took off the return nozzle and everything started pushing more water only problem now is the pump keeps sucking the return compartment dry and then it fills back up

If the return chamber is running dry it's usually because there isn't enough water in the sump.

What size sump do you have, if it is small, then it can't hold enough water in the return section to accommodate 800 gph

It’s a 20 gallon long I added some more water to tank and I think it’s almost dialed in good thing I can adjust my pump it’s a sicce 3.0 says 719gph
