My brother jumped the gun on buying the tank before researching if it was tempered or not even after I warned him not to [emoji23]
So now I gotta find a good reliable HOB overflow that would work? The funny thing is he already has a nice Eshopps L Eclipse overflow that would have been perfect if he would have just been patient lol.

I use an eschopps pf-800 and have no complaints. Have used it for 2 years. I like that it does not rely on a pump and it has done a great job maintaining siphon.

The only issue I have had is my return chamber got so low the pump started blowing air when a snail crawled into the u tube.

I don’t like HOB overflows much and would never use one again after using a drilled tank. The noise and how much it sticks out were my biggest problems. However when I did use a HOB I had an Eshopps overflow that never broke siphon throughout countless power outages. I would recommend one of them.

Yeah about the noise- if you get an eschopps, build a “hofer gurgle buster” and it will run silent.
