HOB Refugium for nano

Hi guys,

I'm looking to buy hob refugium for my 20 gallon tall aquarium. I was thinking to go with CPR Aquafuge 2 but I'm not sure what size to buy. I read on the forum that people say go big. Does anyone know if I can fit CPR Aquafuge 2 Large on the back of my tank or I have to go with a medium one?
I saw dimensions online but still not sure since the intake and overflow are a bit independent.

Hey @markon87 what are the dimensions of your tank and of the fuge? I have one of those on my bowfront tank and it's huge (not sure what size, large I assume)! Go big or go home!

@xxkenny90xx, how are you satisfied with that refugium? I don't have a big tank, plus no possibilities for a sump at the moment so I thought HOB should do the trick.

Dimensions of my tank are 24" x 12" x 16" and online I saw that dimensions of the fuge are 25" L X 4.5" W X 12" T. Just by numbers seems like there is no way but this pieces that are making in hanging are a bit indented so I thought there might be chance to go with the large.

Ya that's the size I have. What can I say, it's a plastic box. I do really like having it and hope it would fit fine on your tank. My heaters, skimmer and thermometer are back there, along with a bunch of live rock.

So the parts that hang into your tank are 23 5/8" apart. What is the measurement in your tank from the inside of the rim on each end?

And the entire box is actually 24 3/4" long

Thank you so much @xxkenny90xx ! This was very helpful! I measured the rim of my tank inside and it's 22 5/8". Seems like I'll have to go with the medium size.
