Have had this setup for a few months and cheato doesn’t grow at all. Now I do vodka dosing, three small fish and a few small frogspawn, star polyps, snails so not much of a bioload. Also changed out the crushed gravel months ago for crushed sand.
Nitrate and ammonia are both barely even detected when tested. So I assume that’s a factor in it not growing. Tank is a old setup so it’s not newly setup. Light is a 6w led light with 12 white and 3 blue leds. It says 7,000-8000k and it is very bright! It stays on for 10hrs on average.
15 years ago on another tank I had a 13watt pc on a brand name HOB and cheato grew like mad but I don’t like to use anything but led now days.
