I just purchased a hob fish Reese's box to use as a small refugium to cultivate copepods. I'm planning on putting live Roark and Chato algae in one section. Anything else I should add? Thanks in advance for any ideas and suggestions.

IMO, IME, you want to keep the bottom bare , as from time to time youll want to clean out the detritus.

Seems I can't type this morning. A HOB fish breeder box.

Well it's up and running. Now it's time to wait and see if I get copepods. :)

you have pods.
I used to sprinkle just a little bit of flake food or coral frenzy right on the top of the chato.

I know I have anthropods but can't see copepods yet. I purchased a bottle of live copepods and wondered if it would be better to seed the tank or seed the refugium or should I split it between the two? Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

You'll need a light to keep the cheeto going...it should be used only at night...so that it producing O2, not CO2...also I've heard that cheeto needs to tumble...I'm setting up a small one now...figuring out what to put in it...
