Can a job refugium be hung on the side of an AIO waterbox instead of the back AIO filter system? Basically flow right into my tank instead of into my AIO filter?? That is my question thank you looking forward to some answers.

Yes. I have an HOB refugium on mine. I modified the intake tube (extended it a couple of inches) to reach over my AIO. The out flow is near one edge, before the AIO chamber starts. That being said, it is essentially the same as if I mounted it to the side—in and out flow directly to the display area.

Hi, how did you go about extending the intake tube? I’d like to install a cpr aquafuge 2 on my waterbox 50.3 AIO.

I’m not at home, so I don’t have photos. I went to the plumbing section of the hardware store to get a matching bulkhead section, a length of pvc and an elbow and made a new intake with a longer reach to clear my AIO
