we are adding a cpr aquafuge and looking for recommendations on what to put inside. we plan on putting the magnetic probe holder for apex but just not sure about rubble, sand, mud, type of algae to add. hoping to not start a big debate just experience related input. Also out of all the "pod" options which do recommend or have experience with. Thanks

I'd just try to grow as much chaeto with a clip on light to reduce nutrient levels. Some people swear by the miracle mud but I'd keep it simple maybe a few pieces or rubble and chaeto should be just fine!

thanks we purchased the one with a LED light so will give that a shot first. I wasn't sure if chaeto or mangroves. I definitely prefer a simple approach

Chato. Dragons breath, dragons tongue. Compact,Easy. Diverse.
Big point easy to clean HOB fuge.:)

the mangroves will require more maintenance b/c you'll have to remove the fallen leaves and make sure that the mangrove isnt completely submersed in water otherwise it will die. Chaeto is your best best for the most simple approach to nutrient export!

gracilaria always grew great in my AC110 fuge. And it usually attached to the walls so it allows the chaeto to hangout in the open water

Thinking of setting up AC110 fuge. What type of lighting do you have? Thanks.
