Hob skimmer alert

I have a bubble Magnus qq1 hob skimmer which does a cracking job but today started making loud noise. After opening to check found my blue neon goby had been sucked in and killed. Clearly the intake is not sufficiently small enough for nano marine fish!

Not impressed at all
Need to add diy foam barrier to intake

It probably would be better to add a mesh screen instead of foam. Foam will clog much quicker.
