Hob skimmer for 40 gallon

Please provide recommendation for a hob skimmer for a 40 gallon aquarium. Having trouble finding anything I can hob.

Where can I find info on them? Searching for deltec skimmers I only get ones in the 1k range and everywhere else no longer selling.

Adam at Battlecorals (sponsor) knows everything about Deltec. They are probably the most expensive HOB skimmer but worth it IMO.

Ditto for the Aquamaxx HOB I have it on my 40 gallon breeder mixed reef and it works great.

There are a few REEF OCTOPUS HOB Skimmer that will not break the bank and give you solid performance.
The Aquamaxx is also very good.

That Deltec MEC300 can't hold a candle to the Aquamaxx.

I use a coralife HoB for my 55g. I'm pretty sure everyone talks mad crap about them but it has served me very well for almost 2 years now. And it was very affordable.

Thanks everyone was looking for the aquamaxx. Since I have a hard time paying CA sales tax. Any time I can avoid this, I’m a happier customer.

Pulled the trigger on the reef octopus classic 90 bc both coralvue (in theory) and brs said This skimmer would be able to tune the water level up or down to skim the tank properly.
