I have the aquaman hob skimmer and it's great but I've been getting more micro bubbles so I added some PVC to go into my filter sock area to reduce that. It works. Now it's just producing bubbles there and creating salt creep.

My question is if I get rid of the t and just have one long piece that goes from the outlet to the water and drill a hole for air so no backfill that it will reduce or get rid of the bubbles?

Don't know if it will work or not.

Could be just breaking in, but don't know how long you've been running it.

If it's an AquaMaxx they are very good skimmers.

They do make one with a bubble stopper.

AquaMaxx may get your one, but you most like have to buy from Marine Depot, after you talk to AquaMaxx.

I've had it for over a year. lol. I don't have space for the bubble stopper as the return goes into my filter sock.

Will the bubble stopper fit inside your skimmer's chamber or is it too tight in there?

When I ran the original hob-1, I did not feel the need to pipe it's outlet to my return chamber, but you know our AIO better than I do.
