Ok, I have a odyssea propack skimmer on my 75g sumpless setup.

This little skimmer has been pulling out steady flow of gunk a day and I think I need something bigger.

I have been researching and found couple that seems good.

I need something that gets close to silent, the skimmer I have gets very noisy when I have the venturi kit on. It feels like the skimmer is vibrating the tank.

If I could get some info from people who have used anyone of these or still use it and tell me if its quiet.

Again silence is golden in our house and my family has me turning the skimmer off at night due to noise. My MJ1200 on circulation mode and my RENA xp3 is the loudest it can get.

Thanks for you help.

Bump for some HOB advice!

Totally and utterly silent is difficult and I feel your pain. I have had experience with the e-shopps and it was an excellent skimmer. I cannot remember specifically how noisy it was. I have seen on a Friends tank the bubble magus and I think that is better than the eshops just from build quality stand point.

Sorry I didn't give you a definitive answer but it's always hard with this stuff. With that being said- anything will be better than what you're currently using ;)

I have the Reef octopus skimmer bh 1000 model it is pretty quite and works well.
