So I just ordered a custom tank and I'm gonna have them drill all the holes on it. It's a 75 gallon tank (48x18x21) so it will have the brace across the top. Im going to be using the 16 in shadow overflow by synergy reef. I'll need the two holes for the overflow and one for the return. They need me to send them a picture of where to drill the holes and I'm not really sure where to put them exactly because I'm not sure if the brace will be in the way of the overflow if I put it in the center. What size hole does the shadow overflow use and how far down should the holes be from the top in order for the water level to be correct once the overflow is installed? I also need to figure out where to put the return hole. How far should I put it from the edge of the glass? What size hole should I have them drill for the return? If someone would advise me in what I should do I would really appreciate it!

Another thing I'm not sure about is how I should send the measurements to them. Should I just draw it out or do it on the computer?

They could use the pattern from Synergy that comes with the overflow.
A 3/4" schedule 80 bulkhead will require a 42mm hole for the return.

If I place in the center will the brace be in the way of the overflow? Also will 3/4" be sufficient for this build?

Oh also where should the placement of the return hole be? How do I convey that to the company building the tank?

If placed in the center I would go with a 1" from the return pump into two 3/4", one at each side half way between the box and the corner is where I would put them.
The overflow should not be affected by the brace.

Wouldn't that require four holes drilled instead of three?
