Hello folks,
I need your help again;
Yesterday evening I saw that one of my corals had two holes, and unfortunately I don't know what could be causing that. Can one of you help me? Could it be bristle worms?
Thanks

Is there really no one here who can help me with this?
Thanks

May be a time zone thing, you Posted at 1am my time lol

Could you post some clearer pictures with white light? It’s really hard to tell what’s going on from your current picture.
Hey
Yes, I didn't think about the time zone
I'll take a new picture under white light this evening and post it
Thanks in advance

This may be a burrowing worm, a small area of Tissue necrosis but hard to see area from pic - Need brighter white light in lieu of blue lighting

Is that a spot that was encrusted in rock? I have something very similar on a chalice. It’s healing and has filled in the hole and is fusing together new growth

Does anything pop in or out of the hole on occasion? My first thought would be coral-boring barnacles.

Edit: Had to double check that some species may live in SPS, but it could be gall crabs too.

Can't help with what that is, but it's not from bristleworms. Normal bristleworms eat only dead or dying flesh, they don't eat live corals.

Here is a pic in November of the hole that developed in my chalice, and a current pic where is is recovering. Throughout the time the joke developed the chalice continued to grow larger and larger, I couldn’t figure out why the hole formed, but eventually it started to close up.

Hello
No, nothing comes out of the hole and I don't see anything on the other corals

Hello
Thanks for your tips
I'll keep an eye on it to see if any further damage occurs
Thanks
