Hollywood chalice dying? Help needed

Hey guys thanks for reading.

My hollywood chalice got knocked upside down and I flipped him back upright yesterday. He was only upside down for a day if that. Today he is half white. Is this a sign of him dying or can I save him?

Any help appreciated please !

If your water parameters and lighting are good its likely just bleached and should recover. Ive brought stunner back from the brink of death before so its quite a hardy specimen.

Everything is great he was thriving!! And then he was flipped I feel awful about it. Does it take long to recover from bleaching? Should I make my light acclimate you think?

It looks like it got stung by another coral. Do you have anything else nearby that could have damaged it? I’ve had chalices get injured from coral warfare and they come back.

You shouldnt touch your lights intensity unless first setting up the system or changing it out completely.
Just place it at the bottom of the tank.

Its recovery timeframe depends on if its kept happy.

I do have other coral however hes at the bottom, I made sure to make him be nowhere near the others. Even when his stingers are out they dont flow near any of them on the rocks. This only happen right after being flipped upside down so I am hoping he can recover

They do recover, I suspect they are indestructible once happy.
I have it on a rock and I do need to trim it or it will take it over.

Also I find sand can irritate them so I would get it off the sand.

They are def resilient, almost a pest for me. Somehow, someway I get random locations in my home tank that will start growing some Hollywood stunner. Possibly from small fragments that fall off when I pull them out, but either way they will come back if your tank parameters are good and it’s in a good spot.

A pest indeed....but a beautiful one

Mine had its own corner in a 40B once upon a time. Its now 4 tanks and a few crashes later due to life changes but still managed to keep a 4" piece alive.

They dont like sand? Oof okay I will have to put him on a live rock. Gunna have to purchase some so hes away from the others on his own island. Appreciate the advice!

Impressive! I got this piece for $18 with a bunch of others for a black friday deal. Hoping she turns back around, shes still half white today! But prior she was a beeeeut
