So I recently got a HS and recently moved him to the top of the tank it's growing quick today during my water change it spit out the goo kind of like snot all over the tank and it's quite a bit it got on other corals I managed to spray them with a turkey vaster and get it to settle mostly and filter up. My questions are, what is this stuff and can it hurt the corals it got on? And will my CUC eat what's settled on the bottom and the rock?

Any time ive messed with my stunner it dies the water green for an hour or 2 and then the carbon removes it. Only thing to ever cause issues is the sweepers and poop or mucus has never caused issues... hope that helps... hopefully yours has lots of room to grow mines a nasty ******* when his sweepers are out
They goop everywhere when touched. Lol. I've never had one stick to a frag plug after fragging. The snotty mess it releases has never bothered any of my coral. And just for reference of what I was dealing with, here's mamma. I finally had to break it up when moved it out of my tank to another. It's super resilient in my experience. I'd just reach in, snap a frag, watch it grow and repeat. No harm done.
And yes, give it space. Sweepers can be a beast and destroy anything they touch.
