This is the piece I think as a new reefer I am most proud of. I put it in my tank last March as a tiny, tiny frag with about a half dozen polyps.

And 10 months later.

You can see a few scars where I made the mistake of adding a Singapore Angel. To be honest, the growth was so slow and steady that when I came across the earlier picture last night, I honestly thought it was a different frag. I know Echinopora are considered easy to grow, but as someone who has totally done nothing but frags, I just love the fact that this is started to cup and is becoming the centerpiece of my tank.

What do yours look like? How big can they get?

Mine has terrible color (mostly tan) but it grows pretty well. We had one in the display at the store and it grew about like the red monti that was in the same tank- as far as speed and size goes anyway.

Nice piece!

Agreed...nice piece. They do seem to be a fast grower. This one was about 3-4" a year ago. More than double that now. Love the growers!
