I have a fairly large stunner chalice. It has grown to over a foot in diameter. I can't handle it. I can hardly handle my tank anymore. This gorgeous coral is one of my favorites but I can't keep it. I want to downsize my tank and get rid of most of my coral. Especially this giant thing. It will break in places as I remove it from the tank. I don't have a recent pic on hand. This is from mid August. I don't know what to do with it. Suggestions?

Do you have a local club you could donate it to? We have one that will do fragging demos for people at the meetings and then the members get to take home a frag. Might look into donating it to a cause like that.

Haha. Not meaning to laugh, but I feel your pain. Have a monstrosity myself, but it's encrusted my back wall and just can't bring myself to break it off. Although I have to snap pieces off monthly. Which in turn just makes it grow faster.
Here's mine

If your just snapping pieces off with your hand and it's doing well, or well enough. I'll frag the thing by hand and keep the center. $5 frags for anyone in southern California xD it is one of my favorite corals. But I can not keep up with 115 gallon tank. I have too many other bills now and not enough time anymore. I plan to downsize to a 30-50 gallon tank

Yup. Just reaching in tank and snapping off. Warning: it grows faster. Lol. Have a nice collection in my 20Long. Cut light on real quick is why my gsp is hiding.
