I bought a Hollywood Stunner and understand it can handle about any light, but am interested in trying to NOT have this coral cup, but grow flat. That said, will it grow flatter under higher or lower light?
Thanks in advance!

I think higher light would provide a more encrusting shape, but I would guess that flow is a factor in their ultimate shape as well. I typically am hoping for cupping with my corals and I tend to get that with more flow across the coral.

Careful about how fast you want that thing to grow. There aren't many corals in the hobby that grow faster than that guy (except montis) and can quickly take over entire rocks. Plus chalices can kill just about any other coral with their stingers. Food for thought ;)

Pretty sure growth pattern is more of a flow thing. I have mine in pretty high light but not a lot of flow, it’s growing flat as anything. Hope this helped!
