Hollywood Stunner

Picked up my first chalice from the LFS for $35.99. I never thought I'd buy one, but I turned away from it last weekend & I wasn't able to stop thinking about it. I couldn't leave it a second time, so I grabbed it today when I went for my weekly water change purchase. I hope I can keep it...

Stunners are pretty hardy if not the hardiest of the chalice family. Just keep in low light and flow. They do send out sweeper at night that can be a few inches long. They also grow very fast so place it where it will have room. The new growth will attach to the rock you place it on so decide if that is where you want it. They are not encrusting but new growth will adhere to rock.

Yup, this is a cool coral. But you only see half it's coolness when the lights are on. Once the lights go off, wait and hour and then look at him and you'll see the sweepers. This is something everyone should see with the stunner.

My 2 cents, the hollywood stunner is not a name of brilliance or stunning beauty. It's a name of a wrestler.... Theeeeeeeeeeeee Hollywooooooooooooood StuUUUUUUUUUUUUuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnerrrrrrrrrrr

Because those sweepers will destroy almost anything they find. Then, this coral, like said before, will be hardy and grow fast! It's a very cool coral. Mine grew too big for my tank and I had to cut it up and sell it.

I am trying to get it out of my tank right now. It was killing a nice favia I have so I hacked away at it and attached to some frag plugs, then puttied over what I couldn't get off the rock. Just a little heads up to treat it like GSP or xenia and isolate it.
