So i recently got a hollywood stunner 7 inches across and I accidently snapped off 4 inches. I dipped it. should it be ok? Also how long are the sweepers? I have zoas 2 inches away above. Is this ok

It is a bulletproof almost pest of a coral. Mine just kept growing faster and faster when I had it. Once settled in it can double in size every few months so it requires consistent fragging. Mine never really had any long sweepers that I saw.

Ive had this happen and did NOT dip it. It bounced back easily

My hollywood stunner sweepers have extended past 8" before.
Was the size of a dinnerplate.

I was told that the stunner part of the name came from the aggressive nature of the coral and its long sweepers. IDK if that's actually the case but I keep mine away from anything important.

how about for a smaller 5 incher?
I have one that’s about 3 inches and it has easily 6” sweepers. You can place corals closer if your flow is predictable enough that you know the sweepers will always go in a certain direction, but if your flow is random or waves back and forth, I’d give it at least 6” in every direction.

I don't see the sweepers on mine very often, but when I do I am surprised how long they can be. If the zoas are only 2 inches above the hollywood stunner then I suspect your zoas will eventually start getting stung. The only thing I had growing near mine was some gsp and I ended up having to move that rock because it was never opening, and I assume it's was getting stung. It was probably close to 6" away.
Hollywood stunner is probably my quickest growing coral, including my gsp and xenia (which both grow really slowly in my tank)

My stunner throws out 4_5" sweepers every few days. I have to keep it in a constant up current from any other corals. With that said it's putting an inch and a half on a month.

Are these the sweeper tentacles. If so should I be scared of them fighting with euphullia
Can’t see the video, but their sweepers are really long and thin, like little angel hair pastas (but even thinner), and whitish-clear.

Those are sweepers, notice how all of the zoas around it are closed, I would guess that some of them are possibly being stung. If that hollywood stunner grows as quick as mine has it will quickly start to overtake and sting all of those corals around it.

hmm ok. Whats the AVERAGE length for a 5 inch frag? Not a dinner plate? 3 inches? 6 Inches?
I don't believe the sweepers are directly proportional to size. If I snapped mine in half, The sweepers will probably be the same length on each one although it's half the size now.

This is correct I have a larger then dinner plate size stunner and a baseball size stunner and both have same size sweepers about 5-7 inches long sometimes as thick as someone hair on the head
