Bought this beauty of a diamond goby today. Within two hours of putting him in the tank, he’s tunneled under a rock and then pulled all the substrate from the corner of the tank and piled it up against the side of the rock. Might be hard to tell from the pic, but those mounds it’s built are probably 5-6 inches high.
Not a problem really, except that he buried a bounce coral under several inches of substrate that I had to dig out and move to let him have his little home he’s building.
The tank it was in at the LFS was all shell/rock, so maybe he’s making up for lost time in rummaging through the subsctrate.
