My three levels of animals I’d love…
1) Another tilefish, either a maxima or crocea clam, most of the leopard and Anampses wrasses, Red Rooster Waspfish. They’re only a few of the many on this list. The Hectors goby - Koumansetta hectori - was one of the many on this list (Actually, all of my gobies were in level 1).

2) All of the Corallivorous butterflies, a lot of the dragonets, and a lot more. Here’s one of the fish that used to be on this list.

3) A lot of the rarer Genicanthus angels (Soecifically female personatus), peppermint Angels, Cirrhilabrus sanguinensis, and others.
Since I can’t edit this anymore, may aswell bump the thread and replace the picture of my CBB with a better pic I got later in the day :)

Shadowfin squirrel fish my favorite.
Holy grail.
Owned 1 yrs ago for awhile.
Silver body with blue and red and black tips on the fins.
Beautiful fish. Hardy. Lfs had 1 with a bunch of Hawaiian squirrels or.common reds and pinks.
I bought misc squirrel and he or she turned out to be one of my favorite fish.
Id buy another in a heartbeat lol.

Excited to get a few Japanese fish I’ve been hunting for years:

Japanese Golden Hawkfish
Japanese Swallowtail/Spotbreast Angel (M)

I own the spot breast and I will warn you without a female or two he will become a submale. I never took it as a Holy grail fish but now I think about it, it is relatively pricey and rare to find a male that ships well. Here’s the best photo I could get just now (I’ll try find a better on one my second build thread)

Good to know, they ran out of pairs when I picked him up, but should be pretty easy to find a female

I will admit I do prefer submale colours compared to full male colours but that’s just my preference :)

It's not a rare fish by any means...but during my first and very short attempt at a saltwater tank I really wanted a black and white clownfish. At the time it was way out of my budget as a teen and I had no idea how to get one. It took 10 years, but I finally got one for myself. <3

Nobody said it had to be rare! Love the story behind it, I love my black photon which would’ve been rare back in the past but now is a more common style of clown.

I found my final big dream fish:
Xenojulis margaritaceus, The gold nugget wrasse.
I came across my first specimen of this species today at my LFS however it was sold and looked stressed unfortunately.

The second specimen they got but was sold yesterday:

I got mine... this is a frustrating fish. I have had it for 5 days now. It has managed to hide in the substrate only coming out 3 times for about 3 hours. He is not being bullied. Just a very shy fish. Haven't seen him eat either. Ate well in quarantine and at the petstore.

Yeah I’ve read they’re like leopards, give him some time and he should settle in. I own a blue star and she is a timid creature at times.

So nothing really special, but I picked up a few fish on my must have, and a few more to go. Magnificent Foxface (first time), Have a male bellus, but looking for 3-4 females to go with him (had a female in 2009), still considering a Lineatus wrasse (would be first time) but not sure how my Solar, orange back, blue throat, Naoko, and Exquisite would treat it. Mandarin fish is also on the list (First time). Otherwise maybe a Goldflake angelfish?
