Home office reef build thread Las Vegas

I have been MIA… my hobbies hit the back burner with my son being born. Tank was absolutely thriving until about 6 months ago when a failed ATO caused my sump to run dry and the salinity to spike.. ended up throwing out five (5G) buckets of corals ..

I am actually starting a new build will post that here and try and be more active.. I am on a quest to get my sps game back. Sucks looking 5+ years of growth!!

Here’s some more of the current setup. spent some time cleaning up the wires, and pulling the old APEX unit getting ready to setup the new one. Everything is doing great, bought some corals this weekend for the first time in about two years. I really did take that Much time off lol not sure how.. but prior to the crash i also didnt really have any room. Excited to get back into things, and start teh new build. In the meantime ill be looking to grow back as much as possible to transfer into the new office build.

looking great!

So lately been building back.. after loosing most of my SPS I have finally been getting in some new pieces and quarantining them. I got the new Neptune hooked up along with the Trident and DOS. Prior I really stuck to bi-weekly water changes among other things. but after having this setup its hard to argue against it. watching the parameters and setting up failsafes. im very happy with the purchase and look forward to finding other ways to use it and make the system better.

Looks great! I love my Apex gear. Has changed the hobby for me having automatic water changes.
