After many years of reefing, a brutal move, a bout with aefw and a bacterial infection I decided to make lemons out of lemonade. I’m going to rebuild my reef from my old reef. I have about 20 lbs worth before I have the start breaking things up.

I didn’t have the heart to break these up as I grew all of them from tiny frags, but at least some of these will make the next 20 lbs.

Has anyone ever done this before? Anything good or bad to share? If nothing else, it’s therapeutic...

It is not, not even sure how I did that or how to turn it off.

Those will work as it’s just coral skeletons at this point, everything/anything is dead. Just like buying crushed coral.

I know it'll work... I'm just curious if anyone has tried it and what I should expect compared to traditional reactor media.
