Got bored so I created an ATO for my frag tank.

1 5g jug
3975

1 threaded adapter
3976

Drill hole in bottom of jug
3977

Put a little silicone on threads
3978

Screw into hole
3980

Drill hole into stand and run tube
3979

Plug into container
3981

Basic float ball
3982

All done. Its all gravity fed and works great!

Its simple and I had all the parts laying around except the threaded adapter which was less than $2. With only 5g I don't have to worry about the ATO dumping all into the sump and changing the salinity too much yet it last long enough so I can go away for the weekend.

I found mine at a plumbing store, not a Home Depot type store though.

Nice deal. I will copy your design. Its simple and works. I like it.

Where can we find the float valve?

I built it out of acrylic and copied a design that my LFS sells. all the plumbing can be found at Home Depot, the ball float I found at a plumbing store.
