Hey guys,
I decided to make my own fish food so I went to my local seafood store and bought one piece of whatever they had available in fresh raw seafood. (Octopus, calamari, scallop, prawns) I plan to blend it together with some nori and garlic.

Is there anything I should add to make it a good nutritious mix? Also, is there any seafood available for human consumption that would be unsuitable to turn into fish food?

I currently have clownfishes, firefish goby and a mantis shrimp to feed.

Thank you! :)

A few drops of each to 3-4 cubes.
ohhhh you mix it all after dividing it.

i though you mixed your own food, like the OP was referencing(i think). i meant cutting pieces of fish, adding spirulina powder/nori, fish flakes, etc then blending it all into a paste then freezing, etc. i thought you added garlic/selcon/aminos to the mix above lol

No, sorry - I was just commenting on what I add for supplements.

I add selcon, vitachem and garlic power. Garlic power is strong so just a couple of drops to add scent. The other two I squirt a few droppers in, I don't really measure. I make fish food pretty much like I cook and the same dish never tastes the same twice.
Totally agree with you in that every batch seems to come out a little different. I’ve hand cut everything used a blender and this time I used a meat grinder. Used shrimp squid tilapia salmon mysis and krill. Added selcon with about 40 sheets of nori and two big handfuls of TDO and Hikari herbivore pellets. Not sure how I feel about it but the fish go crazy for it lol.
