can someone please help identify what is going on with my gourami? she doesn't seem to be eating and stays in the corner seen in the picture but will ocasionally move around. i have 8 zebra danios, 6 threadfin, 5 pygmy cory, 2 honey gourami and 1 golden ram in a 40g. She seemed fine until recently when i added the danios last week. is my tank overstocked and she got stressed out??

This fish is constipated and showing a slight prolapse at its anal area. Being freshwater, you can if its eating, give it Brine shrimp as well as adding epsom salt or store aquarium salt (NOT sea salt) at one teaspoon per 10 gallons which will help it pass what blockage its dealing with

Could also possibly be an internal parasite? Did you quarantine the danios?

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Tough to see, but if those strings are worms, then I would suspect Nematodes, of the genus Capillaria or Camallanus.
