Hood Vent Fan

I am using IceCap 4" variable speed fan in my hood. It keeps the hood cooler, but It has two issues:
It's loud
It runs at full speed all the time irrespective of hood temperature (even though it's supposed to be temperature based variable speed)

I want to replace with a better solution, hopefully without having to cut a new hole on the hood.

Recommendations?

In the hobby. many reefers use computer fans which are dead silent

I hate to revive an old thread, but are there issues with the humid air interfering with computer fans?

Nope, just get bearingless fans(fluid dynamic bearings).

I have a pair of silenX fans that have been exhausting humid salty air from my cabinet going 24/7/365 for the last 6 years.
