Hooded Fairy Wrasse

So i'am getting a hooded fairy tomorrow just wondering that if i got two females would one become a male? Liveaquaria also says that the males and females look very similar, should i even bother trying to get a pair.

How big is your tank? Often one can turn male and if your tank isn't large enough they can harass the female a little too much. I've also heard people say they both turned male.

Thanks for the response. My tanks only a 57 so id rather go with one if it will change to a male

Yes, one female will turn male but it might take sometime. I had two and one changed in 6 months. Having more male wrasses in the same tank also affects how soon they turn.

what size tank would you need for a trio of juvi females? I'm thinking of getting 3 juvi females for a 130 gallon. I think it would be cool to watch the transformation.
