I've been out of the hobby for almost ten years. I am picking up a new waterbox marine x90.3 tomorrow afternoon. I have been waiting for the tank and stand for quite a while. I plan on a mixed reef initially but really like sps so that's where I will be heading. I have been a little frustrated with the lack of details and measurements for the inside of the stand. I will post pictures and let you know dimensions.
Parts I have on hand for now.
Lights- radion G5 pro. I have one now but will need another
Skimmer- Reef octopus classic 150
Return pump- Reef octopus varios 4
Big pile of dry rock that's been in a rubbermaid with bacteria for about a month
Special grade (dry not live) reef sand
Dr Tim's to add at start up. Rock has been in with fritz
inkbird and 2 brs heaters
Tropic Marin salt
and lots more...
Next post coming soon with lots of pics

Congratulations on the new tank! I sounds like you have a lot of nice parts to get started with - cheering for you!

So the tank arrived. The stand is quite substantial and well finished. The sump that comes with the tank is so big that it takes up almost all of the space under the tank. I am still working on wire management and the control board.

Any update on this build? Was looking at same tank. Do you like it? Thanks!

any updates?

how is the skimmer? what's the noise level of the skimmer

I really like the tank. If I could have gotten the next size up I would have for the extra sump space. Super happy with the quality of the tank, stand and sump. Skimmer is almost working too well. I have the small Klir roller matt. With both the skimmer and the roller mat my nitrates and phosphates went to zero. It was a real bummer that I "had to" go out and get 2 more fish and feed more . I am happy with the noise level of the skimmer and it is getting air from outside the house. I probably could have gotten a size smaller. It wasn't making much noise before on inside air.

how is the Klir roller?
any issues with it ?

The Klir roller filter has been great. No issues and I don’t have to change out filter socks any more.

No. It goes in just fine. I do have to fold it where it hinges and work it into place. Pretty easy.

any pics of the Klir roller in the sump?

how often do u change the roll?

would you recommend it ?

Thax

It's the only auto filter I've ever used. I think it works just fine. The filter rolls last a couple of months for me. It sure beats having to change out filter socks all the time. I don't have any pics but it looks all the other stuff that i've squeezed into my sump area.
Would I recommend it? Yes
You do need to clean it every few months...I had some calcium worms that grew on it and they tore the filter paper when it tried to roll.
