I noticed my salinity was a little off this morning, wile looking in the rear chamber of my AIO IM40, I noticed the water level fluctuating up and down about an inch. Unfortunately I think this is causing unnecessary top off.

Why on earth would the water level fluctuate? Could my pump need a cleaning? I just vinegar soaked and cleaned it about 2 or 3 months ago. My rear chambers are as follows: Far left filter sock, next IM Ghost skimmer, middle return pump and ATO sensor, next is my heater and ATO feed line, last chamber has an algae scrubber inside a media basket with carbon and GFO media bags on top.

Open to any advice on how to quickly troubleshoot and/or remedy.

Was salinity high or low? A clogged filter sock on a small AIO can restrict flow and the rear chamber will lower. This will cause your ATO to be activated more frequently and the salinity to lower.

It was lower.

Something is clogged or blocked. I would start at pump intake or even clean the pump.
