I had what I had identified as Horizons, and moved them to my sandbed and since last night I have seen several polyps turning purple. Common?

thanks

How long have they been on the sand bed...it's not unusual for zoas to change color with lighting changes. That's why I'll always take chances on browned out corals. If you move them and the color changed overnight, I'd say it's just the way the light is hitting them
What type of lighting are you using?

PCs 4x96 (I also have a 2x24 t5 over the sandbed

If you moved them to the sand bed and went from the mostly PC's to mostly T5's, the color temperature of the bulb could be enough to change the look of the polyps.
