I just wanted to show a pic I have of two different hornets. One is with lineage and the other doesnt have it. I will say that the color pattern on the non lineage is the same and does have alt skirts just no where near the color vibrance, I will try to get a better macro shot later.

Maybe it will color up, who knows. I didnt pay a ton of cash for the ugly ones so its no issue, I really only bought them to compare.

hummm... interesting, cant wait to see if those color up. the lineage one definetly looks a lot brighter at this point

I'm not sure if those ones will color up or not. But I have a buddy with some of the non-lineaged ones, and they never colored up.

Great example of why lineage is important to some people :crossedlips:

Do you know the history of the non lineage ones, just curious if we have the same ones. Like I said before, I wasnt charged a premium for these so ITS NOT AN ISSUE OR COMPLAINT.

Jason Fox bought them from someone - I never asked him.

who know just sit it and time will tell. maybe because these came from a wild colony where as the one with linage had been in captivity for while, therefore it shown better colorations cuz they're adapted to home aquarium.

The Ring of the purple Hornet Doesnt havent Definition as the brigther one ? is their a possible wa for it t o be a fake?

different lighting creates various looking of the same and as mentioned wild vs captive has given time to adapt.....

i would say as a zoa cultivator give it 6 months side by side and they will look the same..

as example if you cut up a 100x polyp colony of ANYTHING and place 5x polyps in 20 hobbyist tanks after 6 months you will see quite a few different looking variations of this same zoa....... lighting makes the DIFFERENCE...

as hobbyist you generally only have one tank with its lighting so you only see what your conditions produce.......
