Had a dream that I sold one of my favorite fish :-( (yellow coris wrasse) I really need to look into lucid dreaming so I can smack myself awake

LOL, hate those kinds of dreams!

LOL! Glad to know I am not the only one that is overly attached. I get up in the middle of the night get a flashlight and do a head count. LOL

I have not had any bad dreams about my aquatic friends they have all been good ones, like me getting a new hard to find fish that is usually out of my price range. However I do head counts everynight and every morning.

After our tank failure (ruptured bottom seal on a 300g DT) in September of 2010, I think I had a case of PTSD and would wake up several times a night and have to run to the garage to check on the temporary tank. The replacement tank has been up and running since May 2011 and I still wake up out of a dead sleep and check on it a couple of times a week. I fell asleep on the sofa a few days ago w/the Soundscapes music channel on - popped up from a dead sleep when I heard waves crashing... Mike got a good laugh at my expense, LOL!

:hammer:

I sometimes do this in the morning before heading out for work if I didn't see a clown the night before. ;)

I had a worse night than that on Saturday. Friday night I started making water for a WC, and didn't remember until 4am Saturday morning. Spent 3 hours moping up water and shopvacing the carpet. Not a good start to a weekend.

Oh my.. I had a pipe pop off one night on mine while I was sleeping and I attribute that to my night terrors, we should all have prescriptions for xanax while owning a reef

never had dreams about my tank but i do remember in college waking up at 4am to the sounds of water splashing the ground. now, i can tell if a tank is leaking anywhere in my house from the dripping!!! that was a horrible night for me because the RA office was right below our dorm and since it was an older building they had conduit running along the wall going down and they didn't do the best of jobs sealing it off, well lets just say i got a knock on my door. good thing was it was the one RA that was nice, if it were any of the others i'm sure it would have been reported!

I think most everyone in the hobby has done that. My RO/DI is in the laundry room (unfinished part of the basement) right next to a floor drain so any spills go into the sump pump well that pumps water out from under the house.
