Ordered two frags of Oregon tort from @Isoprene . they arrived, along with two irrelevant freebies on 1/5/16. all four frags arrived looking fine. I acclimated them (float and drip) and introduced them to my sps dom tank. by next morning ALL FOUR frags were completely white. I promptly notified the seller the following day. no compensation of any kind was offered.
Since the frags arrived looking healthy I chalked it up to a freak occurance. still on the hunt for some nice Oregon tort, I placed another order with the seller for two more frags. the two new frags, and a couple more irrelevant freebies, arrived on 2/5/16. two frags were completely dead and the other two had severe tissue loss. I notified the seller within a couple hours and I also sent photos. I acclimated the frags that still had something tissue but they died by the next morning.
One thing I noticed about the second order is the entire package was freezing cold - bags, water. I hadn't noticed if this was also the case for my first order. I also noticed the seller used a cryopak tcp phase 22. however, when it arrived I noticed it was solid as a rock. so it got way too cold to hold the temp steady. when I told him about this, he claimed that a phase 22 panel is not a cryopak. he obviously doesn't even know what product he's using.
The seller was unwilling to refund my money despite the fact that I notified him of the doas with a couple hours. I filed a claim with PayPal and they forced him to refund my full purchase price.
Unfortunately, I had already left him a positive feedback rating after the first corals arrived and r2r refused to let me change my feedback.
