I need a reccomendation for a garden hose that is "reef safe" to run water from my SW holding tank to my display. If not a specific one; what features should I be looking for?

Look for "hybrid PVC" hose. You can get it on Amazon. This is what Python uses for their hoses and you can get it for significantly cheaper than Python. Then you can use standard hardware store plastic fittings and hose clamps (or Python if you want the fancy stuff).

thanks, I know you recommended avoiding metal but would stainless steel be advised?
No. Even the highest quality stainless steel can tarnish in salt water. It's less likely to be an issue in a system that isn't generally submersed all of the time but why risk it when plastic is probably cheaper!

Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware, Walmart.. carry a white hose for RV. Cut the ends off and use barb to thread fittings.

Also, if you're SW tank has a "hose fitting" end, just remember that it is not npt but mht.
